Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actor and singer. Her early Broadway shows include Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. In You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in an Play. Annaleigh is a Tony Award winning actress as well as director, has spent the bulk of her career working with well-known directors and actors on screen and in television. Ashford will be next in the role of Kumail Nanjiani as part of the Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford is currently in the making for Searchlight Pictures' terror thriller Dust which also features Sarah Paulson. The film will stream on Disney's DTC platforms and will be available as a Hulu Original. Ashford's Broadway return will take place on March 20, 2023. He plays alongside Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. This show will be led by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team that produced Hamilton. Ashford was last seen as Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. Ashford, who is not familiar with Broadway won both Tony Drama Desk Awards as well as Outer Critics Circle Awards in her role of Essie.
