Melina Kanakaredes is an American actress who is best famous for her character of Detective Stella Bonasera in the CBS police procedural drama CSI: NY Dr. Sydney Hansen on the NBC drama series Providence and Dr. Lane Hunter on the medical drama series The Resident. She was also recognized by her debut on television as Eleni Andros Cooper on the soap opera of CBS Guiding Light. Some of her notable films are 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Snitch. It is reported that she is developing a movie adaptation of the writer's autobiography The Wheel of Life with Vlas and Charley Parlapanides the team who wrote the movie Immortals. Her upcoming TV series, Gods & Heroes is currently being developed.
